CorManager Tally Connector - Setup Guide
==========================================

This small Windows app lets CorManager (cormanager.com) push Receipt Notes,
Delivery Notes, Stock Journals, and master data directly into your local
Tally Prime. It runs quietly in the background while you use CorManager.

Files in this folder
--------------------
  cormanager-tally-connector.exe The connector itself
Start Connector (Hidden).vbs Double-click to run silently (recommended)
Stop Connector.bat Double-click to stop the connector
  README.txt This guide

Before you start - enable HTTP in Tally
---------------------------------------
The PC running the connector must also be running Tally Prime with its
HTTP/ODBC server enabled.

1. Open Tally Prime.
2. Press F1 (Help) -> Settings -> Connectivity -> Client/Server configuration.
3. Set:
TallyPrime is acting as : Both
     Port : 9000
     Enable ODBC : Yes
4. Accept (Ctrl+A) and restart Tally Prime.

Running the connector (silent, in the background)
-------------------------------------------------
1. Keep all the files from this ZIP together in one folder
   (e.g., C:\Users\YourName\CorManagerConnector).
2. Double-click "Start Connector (Hidden).vbs"
   - Nothing visible happens. That is correct - it runs in the background.
   - Windows SmartScreen may prompt the FIRST time:
"Windows protected your PC" -> More info -> Run anyway
(One-time prompt per PC. The connector only makes local HTTP calls
between CorManager, your PC, and Tally - nothing goes out to the
     wider internet.)
3. Open CorManager in your browser, go to Settings -> Tally Integration,
enter your exact Tally company name, click "Test Connection".
A green tick means everything is working.

To confirm it is running:
Task Manager -> Details tab -> look for "cormanager-tally-connector.exe".

Stopping the connector
----------------------
Double-click "Stop Connector.bat" - it kills the process cleanly and
closes itself after a few seconds.

Start automatically when you log in to Windows
----------------------------------------------
Do this ONCE and the connector will be running every time you turn on
your PC, no clicks needed.

1. Right-click  "Start Connector (Hidden).vbs" -> Send to -> Desktop
   (create shortcut).
2. Press Win + R , type shell:startup , hit Enter. A folder called
   "Startup" opens.
3. Drag the shortcut from your Desktop INTO the Startup folder.

Done. Next time you sign in to Windows, the connector starts
automatically in the background.

To turn off auto-start: go back to the Startup folder and delete
the shortcut.

Want to see the console window instead?
---------------------------------------
Double-click cormanager-tally-connector.exe directly (ignore the
.vbs launcher). A small black console window opens showing
"Connector : http://localhost:3456". Useful for troubleshooting the
first time; close the window to stop the connector.

Troubleshooting
---------------
"Connector not reachable" (from CorManager Test Connection)
The connector is not running. Double-click Start Connector (Hidden).vbs
again. Or check Task Manager - there should be a
   cormanager-tally-connector.exe process.

"Connector running but Tally not responding"
Tally Prime is not open, or the company is not loaded. Open Tally
   and load the company first.

"Company mismatch"
The company name typed in Settings -> Tally Integration must match
the company shown in Tally's title bar EXACTLY (spaces and case
   both matter).

Connector was running, now stopped suddenly
This can happen if Windows put the PC to sleep, or an antivirus
killed the process. Run the hidden launcher again.

The connector only needs to run on the PC that has Tally. If your
accounts team uses Tally on a separate machine, install the connector
there too.
